Middle College

Middle College High Schools are secondary schools, authorized to grant diplomas in their own name, located on college campuses across the nation. The Middle College High Schools are small, with usually 100 or fewer students per grade level, and they provide a rigorous academic curriculum within a supportive and nurturing environment to a student population that has been historically underserved and underrepresented in colleges. While at a Middle College High School, students have the opportunity to take some college classes at no cost to themselves. Middle College High Schools have a defined and structured academic program that combines high school and college classes leading to a high school degree and at least 24 college credits, and up to an associate degree, in four or five years.
